Crown / Crown Radio Corporation - Crown Corporation was founded in April 1948 under the name Asahi Electric Co and specialized in the production of home audio equipment, televisions, gramophone records and portable radio stations (transceivers). In 1960, it was renamed Crown Radio Corporation. In 1985, the name was shortened to Crown Corporation. In 1993, part of the company became part of Miyakoshi Corporation, which retains the rights to the Crown trademark.
