Polaroid - the American company was founded in 1936 as an eyeglass manufacturer, and since 1948, it has produced cameras that immediately produce a finished photo and special cassettes for them. In 2001, Polaroid filed for bankruptcy, and most of its business was sold to Imaging Corporation. In 2005, Polaroid was acquired by PGW. In 2008, Polaroid declared bankruptcy. In 2014, the shares were acquired by the investment fund Marquette Companies.
