Tasma - Trademark for the production of tape cassettes in the USSR. Since 1941, "Film Factory No. 8" in Kazan. In 1958, it was renamed the Order of the Red Banner of Labor Chemical Plant named after V.V. Kuibyshev (KHZ named after V. Kuibyshev), in 1974 it received the name "Tasma".
In 1970, the plant mastered the production of magnetic tape, and since 1973, the only production of ferromagnetic powder in the USSR has begun.
Together with "Kazan Photogelatin Plant No. 9" (since 1981 it became known as the Kazan Plant "Polymerfoto"), launched in 1941, a production facility was created for the production of tape cassettes (MK-60 and later MK-90). In 1973, the Kazan Photogelatin Plant launched the largest cassette production in the USSR: initially 2 million cassettes per year, from 1982 - 10 million units, from 1985 - 15.5 million units, in 1991 - more than 30 million units.
Tasma was part of the All-Union Association Soyuzkhimfoto and the Association of Photochemical Enterprises of the CMEA Countries Assofoto.
