Ronees - An abbreviation of the first letters of "Rostov Association of Information Carriers and Construction Materials." The group of companies, founded in 1991, included media production and publishing, as well as alcoholic beverage bottling. Until the late 1990s, it was one of the largest Russian companies producing pirated audio products using equipment from the former ORWO factory. The company closed in 2006. BASF film was used for audio cassette production, and since 1996, SK Group has used it. Since 1995, Sunkyong film (SK Group) has been used for video cassette production.
