Konica - In 1983, Ampex emerged from the Japanese-American company Konishiroku Ampex Co., Ltd., and the renamed Konishiroku Photo Industry was engaged in independent production in Japan. In 1987, Konica abandoned its production and placed OEM orders in Korea and China.
