Permaton - the company behind Permaton was Hans Wolff GmbH & Co KG. In the 1960s and 1970s, the company manufactured cassettes for various European companies. Permaton bought tape from Agfa and BASF (sometimes exclusively), and later from South Korea's SKC. In 1973, BASF founded a trading company in which Permaton owned a stake, giving it influence in the booming market for department store-branded cassettes and other OEM cassettes. Permaton likely manufactured its own housings or those from Schneider and Knosti.
