UNY Co. - UNY Co., Ltd. (ユニー株式会社) was a Japanese joint purchasing company established in 1969 by several retailers. In 1971, Nishikawaya Chain and Hoteiya merged to form the large retail company UNY Co., Ltd. UNY developed as a chain of department stores and supermarkets. Its product range included virtually all consumer goods, from groceries and clothing to consumer electronics and audio products.
