Hanimex

Hanimex - Hanimex is an Australian exporter founded in 1947. In the 1950s, it was the exclusive distributor of Fujica (Fujifilm) cameras in Australia. By the 1970s, Hanimex was one of the world's largest exporters of photographic products, with sales in 60 countries. Its product range also included consumer electronics, audio, and other products. In 1985, Hanimex acquired Vivitar, and in 1989, Gestetner, which was acquired by Ricoh in 1995. In 2004, Fujifilm acquired Hanimex, after which the company became known as FujiFilm Australia Pty Ltd., and the Hanimex name was retired.
