Hitachi - the Japanese company was founded in 1910 and is now one of the world's largest industrial conglomerates. Beginning with electric motors, Hitachi began mass-producing consumer electronics and home appliances in the early 1960s. In the mid-1960s, a partnership was established with Maxell, and joint production of cassette tapes began in Japan.
