Zenith

Zenith - Zenith Radio Labs was founded in 1918 as Chicago Radio Labs, a manufacturer of amateur radio equipment. In 1923, it was renamed Zenith Radio Company and became an American brand of consumer electronics, radio and television receivers, and other consumer electronics. By 1960, Zenith, along with RCA, was among the two largest American television manufacturers, accounting for over 20% of the market. In 1984, the company changed its name to Zenith Electronics Corporation to reflect its interests in computers and cable television. In 1999, Zenith filed for bankruptcy and has since been wholly owned by LG Electronics.
